Rasheed Hodge Jr.

Life & Health Insurance Specialist

My name is Rasheed Hodge Jr., and while I was born in Plantation, Florida, I am proud to call Brandon, South Dakota home since the third grade. I graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 2019, where I built lifelong friendships and learned the value of community and teamwork.

I come from a lively and close-knit family with four siblings — one older sister and three younger brothers — and our home was always full of energy (and often a few extra friends along the way). Those early experiences shaped who I am today: family-driven, supportive, and committed to being someone others can rely on.

Outside of work, I've always been passionate about staying active and involved in things that challenge me both mentally and physically. From football and powerlifting to martial arts, I've learned discipline, resilience, and the power of pushing through difficulty. I also enjoy anime, video editing, longboarding, and gaming with friends — creative and active outlets that keep me balanced and inspired. Before starting my career in the insurance industry, I worked in construction for roughly five years.

That path took a dramatic turn when I was badly injured on the job — a 40-foot header fell on me, nearly costing me my life. That moment changed everything. I am incredibly grateful to have survived, and that experience deepened my appreciation for life, my family, and the importance of having protection and support through life's unexpected moments.

Today, I'm proud to be a part of Midwest Division Insurance Agency, where I get to help people just like my GMA Violet, who has been one of the most positive and influential figures in my life. I truly care about the individuals and families I work with, and I am passionate about bringing value, peace of mind, and guidance to clients as they make important decisions about their insurance needs. Every day, I look forward to helping others protect what matters most — because I know firsthand how precious and unpredictable life can be.
